How do I create a book?
It’s simple. Type your name into the Find Your Name box then choose a name from the list. If you can’t find your name, don’t worry, any of our books can be personalised with any name. Just type your chosen name into the same box and click the orange ‘Can’t see your name?’ button. We recommend using your child’s first name only.
As soon as you’ve chosen your name, you’ll see a list of personalised books you can choose from. Click on the book you want and you’ll be taken to the page to order it. You can order as many books as you like with the same name or enter a new name to order books for more than one child.
I can’t find my child’s name
Don’t worry, we can personalise any of our books with any name! When you type your name into the Find Your Name box, click on the orange ‘Can’t find your name?’ button and you’ll see all the awesome books we can make with your name. We recommend using your child’s first name only.

Why isn’t my name working?
If the name you’re trying to use isn’t working, it may be that it includes an unsupported character, or too many or too few letters.
We can only print names that use letters, spaces, dashes or apostrophes. Unfortunately we cannot print accented letters. The maximum number of characters you can have is 14.
We recommend using your child’s first name only.
Can I change my order?
When you order a personalised book from Orangutan we are creating a gift that is made just for you. We start the print process very soon after we’ve received your order so, for this reason, we are sorry but it is not possible to change your order after you’ve submitted it to us.
All personalisation is printed exactly as it was typed in and approved by you, so please double check your order before submitting it. We recommend using your child’s first name only.
Can I cancel my order?
We start the print process very soon after we’ve received your order and so for this reason, it is not possible to cancel your order after you’ve submitted it to us.
Why do I need to create an account?
You don’t need to but having an account will allow you to see your order history, manage your payment methods and check we have all the correct contact details for sending out your lovely books.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit and debit cards including Visa, Mastercard and American Express. We also accept PayPal.
If you have paid on your debit or credit card you will be charged when you place your order. Please visit www.paypal.com for information on PayPal payments.
The amount you pay will be your order total plus any delivery charges. The delivery charges will depend on the delivery option that you choose and will be shown during the checkout process. Standard UK delivery is free.
Printing your book
We love creating books just for you! Each book is printed on demand to your specifications. We do not review personalisation. All personalisation is printed exactly as it was typed in and approved by you, so please double check your order before submitting it.
How long will it take to get my book?
We aim to print and post your book within 3 working days. We then have two delivery options for you to choose from.
We aim to deliver your order within 6-8 working days.
We aim to deliver your order within 4-6 working days.
How will my book be delivered?
Orders of 1-3 books will be delivered by Royal Mail.
Orders of 4 or more books will be delivered by courier.

Can I return my book?
Due to the personalised nature of our books, each book is printed on demand to your specification. This means we are not able to accept returns or exchanges.
